This is Just to Say

I saw the sunset tonight
Instead of sitting inside
Working, oblivious
To photographic
Opportunities.

The Cybershot did not recall
Mad chases after color,
Reflections on refractions,
Caught on previous
Cameras.

No settings spoke of "sunset,"
And the sky disgorged
No gaudy beauty, but
Threw subtle colors on
Glass canvases.

Sunset, all but gone
When I reached the usual place,
Left a subtle glow,
Beneath stacked clouds,
Later enhanced for
Your pleasure.

you are very reflective and mellow in your words and poetic format in this entry. I enjoyed the calm and quietness of it. And the beautiful photos. I loved the phrase "but threw subtle colors on glass canvases."
